White Matthews, 63, is taking Linda’s place as new Non-Executive Chairman. He has been a serving as director on Imation’s board since 2003. Matthews served as EVP, CFO, & Director of Ecolab from 1999 until his retirement in 2001. Before Ecolab, he was EVP, CFO & Director of Union Pacific. Matthews currently serves as a Director & Chairman of the Board on Constar International and as a Director of PNC Mutual Funds. He earlier served as Director on the board of Matrixx Initiatives and as a Chairman of Ceridian.

Imation noted the resignation of Director Raymond Leung, 52, a member of Imation's Board since 2007. Leung, EVP of TDK, had been TDK's representative on the Imation Board, an appointment which was in accordance with an agreement between Imation and TDK that gave TDK the right to nominate a representative to serve on Imation's Board. TDK has determined that, at this time, it does not require a representative to replace Leung.

John Breedlove has been named VP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Breedlove's career spans nearly three decades in commercial and corporate law. He joins Imation following 18 years with Supervalu, where he was VP of business law at the $40 billion grocery, food, and logistics company. Prior to Supervalu, Breedlove was an attorney with the law office of Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis and with Graham & James in San Francisco. Breedlove replaces John Sullivan, who recently retired from Imation after more than 12 years with the Company.

Quantum Recruits Former HP SVP & HDS CEO to its Board

Data backup and recovery experts Quantum announced that David Roberson, 55, has been appointed to its board. Most recently, Roberson was SVP and GM of HP’s StorageWorks Division. Roberson has over 25 years of experience at Hitachi Data Systems, starting as corporate counsel and rising through the company to become President and CEO. In addition to Quantum, he currently serves on the boards of International Game Technology and TransLattice.  

New SVP Engineer at Mainframe and Supercomputer Manufacturer

Praveen Mandal joins SGI as SVP, Engineering from Coulomb Technologies where he was President & Founder. Prior to Coulomb, Mandal was VP, R&D for Carrier Ethernet Solutions at Lucent Technologies. Before joining Lucent, he served as VP, Engineering at Riverstone Networks.

AT&T Appoints New SVP Talent Development and VP Ad Sales

Debbie Storey was promoted to SVP, Talent Development and Chief Diversity Officer. Previously, she was VP of consumer sales. She has also served at BellSouth as the VP of Broadband Transformation. While at BellSouth she served as President of the BellSouth Women's Networking Alliance, one of the company's employee resource groups. Storey started her career with AT&T in 1982 in Atlanta as customer service clerk for BellSouth telephone directory publisher Stevens Graphics. 

AT&T announced the appointment of Michael Rosen, 69, as VP of Internet and Mobile Sales for AT&T Advanced Ad Solutions. Rosen joins AT&T after serving as President of Oggifinogi, a rich media advertising company. Prior to this, he was EVP & Chief Revenue Officer at Babelgum, a global web TV platform. Rosen also previously served as SVP & GM of WeatherBug's Consumer Division and SVP of Media Sales and Marketing for Bloomberg.

New CEOs at Terremark, Vimpel, and Orascom

Terremark Worldwide, a cloud computing and web hosting solutions company, announced that Founder and CEO Manuel Medina, 57, resigned from his position. Kerry Bailey, Group President of Enterprise Cloud Strategy and Services for Verizon, will assume leadership of the company. Bailey held various executive positions within Verizon and most recently has led Verizon's "everything-as-a-service" enterprise solutions strategy.

Mobile phone service provider Vimpel Communications announced its current CEO, Alexander Izosimov, 46, has decided to step down. Current chairman of the company, Jo Lunder, 48, has taken on the role of CEO. Lunder has served as CEO and COO of OJSC VimpelCom. Since 2003, he has served as an independent director and as chairman, first of OJSC VimpelCom, and more recently, VimpelCom. Prior to his time at VimpelCom, Lunder served in various capacities at Telenor from 1993 to 1999.

Egypt's Orascom Telecom appointed the former head of its Bangladeshi business, Ahmed Abou Doma, to CEO. He replaces the departing Khaled Bichara. Abou Doma served as Head of Marketing at OT’s Egyptian mobile venture Mobinil.

CMO Named at Vonage

Vonage Holdings announced the appointment of Scott Ballantyne as CMO. Mr. Ballantyne comes to Vonage from Tendril Networks, where he held the position of SVP, Marketing. Prior to Tendrill, Ballantyne held sales and marketing positions at HP, T-Mobile, Dell, and Motorola.

New US Regional VP/GMs at T-Mobile

T-Mobile has appointed Larry Dolot as the VP/GM of the Ohio, Kentucky, and West Pennsylvania regions. Prior to joining T-Mobile in 2009, Dolot was a Division Director for Borders. Before Borders, Dolot served as a store general manager at Target. He also spent more than 15 years at Blockbuster, where he started as a store manager before being promoted to regional director. 

Brigette Jackson has been named VP/GM for the Michigan and Indiana regions. Jackson joined T-Mobile in 2007 as divisional director for the Georgia division. In addition, Jackson has held leadership roles on T-Mobile's loyalty and finance teams. She also serves on the Central Area Sales Advisory Board. Prior to T-Mobile, Jackson was a regional manager for a subsidiary of Limited Brands, Express. Jackson also has held leadership roles at The Children's Place, Pier 1, and Claire's.

Linda Murrain has been selected as the VP/GM for the Chicago region. Murrain joined T-Mobile in 2007 as a director of customer service and later. Before T-Mobile, Murrain was the Executive Director of Goodwill Industries of Metropolitan Chicago. She also held senior leadership roles with Ameritech and was a proprietor of her own retail boutique.

Tim Adams has been appointed as the VP/GM for the Minnesota and Wisconsin regions. Prior to joining T-Mobile, Adams held various progressive leadership roles at Blockbuster, Gateway, Office Depot, and Sam's Club.

Jim Mills, 44, has been announced as VP/GM for the Great Plains region, responsible for all sales in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, and Southern Illinois. Mills joins T-Mobile from CPI, the leading portrait studio operator in North America. Mills served as EVP of field operations, responsible for all U.S. field locations. Prior to CPI, Mills served as VP, Wholesale Channels at RadioShack.

New Asia Pac Head at Data Center and Internet Exchange Specialist

Equinix announced that Todd Handcock has been named CMO & VP of Marketing and Strategy for the Asia Pacific region. Handcock joins Equinix from British Telecom where he was most recently VP of Asia Pacific Business Transformation. His previous roles at BT included VP of Asia Pacific Business Operations and Interim Country Manager for China. Prior to joining BT, Handcock was Asia Pacific VP at Descartes Systems Group and GM of Global Alliances and Accounts with Maves International Software.  

Wireless, Broadband, and Phone Provider Promotes Finance Exec          

Telephone and Data Systems announced that the company has promoted Peter Sereda to the position of SVP, Finance & Treasurer. Sereda joined TDS in 1998 as VP & Treasurer and has since managed financing for TDS and its business units, U.S. Cellular and TDS Telecom.

Finance-pro Selected as Partner Communications CFO

Partner Communications announced that Ziv Leitman is joining the company as CFO. Most recently, Leitman served as the Deputy CEO & CFO of Paz Oil Company, the largest energy and convenience retailer Company in Israel. From 2002 until 2009, he served as EVP & CFO of Comverse, a leading provider of systems to telecommunication companies. Prior to this, Leitman was EVP & CFO of Discount Investments and Lucent Technology. Before Lucent, Leitman served as CFO of Hogla-Kimberly and Optrotech.
