New Board Members at Unisys & CIBER
Unisys announced that Alison Davis, 48, has been elected to its Board of Directors and its Finance Committee. Most recently, Davis was a Managing Partner at Belvedere Capital Partners, a private equity firm serving the financial services sector. Prior to joining Belvedere, she served as CFO and Director of Corporate Development for Barclays Global Investors and was a Senior Partner at A.T. Kearney. She began her career at McKinsey & Company.
CIBER, a global information technology consulting and managed services company, announced that Jean-Francois Heitz, 60, has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Most recently, Heitz served as Deputy CFO & Treasurer at Microsoft. Before joining Microsoft in 1989, he worked at Matra SA, United Wemco Europe, and Air Liquide. Heitz serves on the boards of Arc International and Total Immersion. He also sits on the Advisory Board of the Stanford Technology Venture Program.
IT Consulting Services Company Elects New CEO and Four New Board Members
INTREorg Systems has elected Donal Schmidt, 49 as its new CEO. He has been the Chairman of the Board, CEO, & President of Sun River Energy since 2010. Prior to Sun River, Schmidt served as CEO, CFO, & Director at Dorado Exploration. He is a managing member of FTP Oil and Gas. Schmidt was also the Managing Director of PC Operating Texas.
Additionally, INTREorg selected four new board members to serve alongside Chairman of the Board Russell Boyd, 40.
Thimothy Wafford, 50, currently serves as COO of Sun River Energy. Wafford has held titles in the past such as President of Essex Energy, President of Waterman Oil & Gas, and COO & Director of Dorado Exploration.
Mark Hall, 52, is the Chief Business Officer at Fusion Labs. Prior to founding Fusion Labs, Hall was a partner and EVP of B.R. Blackmarr & Associates. Additionally, Hall has held senior management roles at SimTec, Businessland, Bell Atlantic, Trammell Crow Joint Ventures, and GrantedGE.
Steven Henson has served on several boards during his career, including Epic Holdings, EagleMed, Indulge Media Group, Sun River Energy, Aero Innovative, and the Oxford Development.
Frederick Huttner, 66, currently serves as Chairman and President of Huttner and Company, a private consulting firm. Prior to this, he assumed a variety of roles at Miresco Financial Services and Stratum Holdings, including President, Secretary-Treasurer, CFO, & CEO.
MacroSolve Appoints Executive Chairman; Former Chairman Takes the Role of Vice Chairman
MacroSolve, a company delivering mobile apps and solutions, announced that Howard Janzen, 57, has been appointed as Executive Chairman. Janzen was most recently CEO of One Communications. Prior to joining One Communications, he was President of Sprint Business Solutions and Chairman, President, & CEO of Williams Communications Group.
The company’s former Chairman, Jim McGill, 67, will assume the new position of Vice Chairman. McGill has been a Director of MacroSolve since 1999. Prior to joining MacroSolve, he ran McGill Resources, a venture capital firm. From 1970 to 1986, he served as Chairman and CEO of McGill Environmental Systems. Prior to these startup ventures, McGill served as CEO & President of First State Bancorp and First State Bank and as a Director of First State Bancorp. He has also been a Director of ADDvantage Technologies Group and a Member of the Advisory Board at Boston Street Advisors.
CFO Leaves China-Based Software Services Company
Longtop Financial Technologies, a company providing custom-built and standard software for financial companies in China, announced that its CFO, Derek Palaschuk, 46, has resigned from his post. He has been with Longtop since 2006 after stints with eLong and Sohu.com, both China-based, NASDAQ-listed companies. Palaschuk has also served as Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
CEO Leaves Computer Products Distribution & Support Company; Interim Steps In
Agilysys’ Board announced that Martin Ellis, 46, will be stepping down as President and CEO to pursue other career interests. Ellis will continue to serve as a special advisor to the Board's Non-Executive Chairman, Keith Kolerus, 64. Ellis joined Agilysys in 2003 as EVP of Corporate Development & Investor Relations and went on to become CFO & Treasurer in 2005. He later joined the Agilysys Board of Directors in 2008. Prior to joining Agilysys, Ellis was SVP and Principal at Stern Stewart & Co., a global financial consulting firm.
James Dennedy, 45, has been appointed as the interim President & CEO. Dennedy joined the company’s Board in 2009 after a stint as Principal & Chief Investment Officer at New York hedge fund, Arcadia Capital Advisors. Prior to that, Dennedy was President & CEO of Engyro Corporation, an enterprise software company. He has previously served as a Director for NaviSite, I-many, and Entrust.
IT Services Industry Veteran Joins Cybra
Cybra, an IT services company and the developer of EdgeMagic RFID Control Software, announced that Michael Shabet has joined as VP of Sales and Marketing. He comes from Avery Dennison, where he served most recently as Global Sales Manager.
