Debra Reed, 55, has resigned from the Board of Directors of Avery Dennison. Reed has recently been elected as CEO & Director at Sempra Energy, where she has been serving as EVP since 2010. Previously, she served as President and CEO of San Diego Gas & Electric Company and Southern California Gas Company, two of Sempra Energy’s regulated California utilities. Reed also serves on the Board of Directors of Halliburton. Previously, she was a board member at the American Gas Association, Genentech, and Dominguez Services.
Metabolix, a plastic and fiber manufacturing company, announced that Barbara Wells, 56, has joined its board of directors. Dr. Wells is currently President and CEO of ArborGen. Prior to ArborGen, she was the VP in charge of Latin American growth initiatives and investments for the agricultural investment firm Emergent Genetics. She also spent nearly 18 years at Monsanto where her roles included Co-Managing Director of Monsanto Brazil and Leader of the Roundup Ready Soybean team. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Biotechnology Industry Organization and is Vice Chairman of the Food and Agricultural Sector board.
Cross industry product developer CirTran has appointed Kathryn Hollinger to serve as a member of the company's Board of Directors. Hollinger has been with CirTran for 11 years as the company's Controller.
Transportation
J.B. Hunt Transport Services elected Francesca Maher Edwardson, 53, to its Board. Edwardson is currently the CEO of the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. She has previously served as SVP, General Counsel, and Secretary of United Airlines.
Energy
Principal Solar announced that Margaret Keliher, the Executive Director of Texas Business at Clean Air, will join the Board. In the past, Keliher administered a plan for North Texas to decrease dangerous ozone levels and was the first female judge elected in the 157-year history of Dallas County.
GT Solar International announced the appointment of Mary Petrovich, 48, to its Board of Directors. Previously, Petrovich has served as GM/Chairman and as CEO of AxleTech International, a supplier of off-highway and specialty vehicle drive train systems and components. She is also a Director at Woodward and at Modine Manufacturing Company.
Samson Oil & Gas appointed Dr. DeAnn Craig to its Board as a Non-Executive Director. She will also serve on Samson's Audit Committee. Craig began her career as a drilling and reservoir engineer. She has since held senior management roles at Phillips Petroleum and CNX gas. Craig is currently a consultant for companies in the oil and gas industry.
