Network Transmission Equipment Company Hires Former HP Exec

Symmetricom announced that Douglas Halbert is the company's new EVP of Operations. Halbert possesses over 30 years of operations management experience and most recently held the title of COO at the consumer products company Wagic. In the past, he has served as SVP of WW Operations at Brilliant Telecom, Director of Operations at TANDBERG Television, EVP of Operations at Acterna, and VP of WW Operations and Quality at HP.

New Board Member at Motorola

Motorola has selected Kenneth Dahlberg to be a member on its Board. In the past, Dahlberg has served as Chairman and CEO of Science Applications International and as EVP of General Dynamics. Prior to General Dynamics, he was the President and COO of Raytheon Systems. He is currently a director of Teledyne Technologies and Parsons. Additionally, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Surface Navy Association, the Association of the US Army, and a lifetime member of the US Navy League.

Board Member Resigns from Networking Appliances Company

F5 Networks announced that John Chapple, 57, has resigned from its Board. Chapple is the President of Hawkeye Investments, a privately owned equity firm which invests primarily in telecommunications and real estate ventures. Prior to forming Hawkeye, he served as President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board at Nextel Partners and as EVP of Operations at AT&T Wireless Services. Currently, Chapple is the chairman of the board at Cellular One Group, Syracuse University, and the Personal Communications Industry Association. 

Former PTC & EMC Exec Lands at Riverbed

Riverbed Technology, a WAN optimization product designer and manufacturer, announced that Willem Hendrickx has joined the company as SVP of Sales for EMEA. Prior to Riverbed, Hendrickx served as the EVP of Global Accounts at Tieto and as the SVP of Global Channels at EMC. He has also held leadership positions at PTC and LCI Computer.

CIO Departure at Harris

Shortly after Chairman & CEO Howard Lance, 55, announced his retirement plans, the company has revealed that Enzo Micali, 51, the CIO and Global EVP of Technology, Operations, & Panel, is leaving the company. Prior to Harris, Micali served as CIO and EVP of Operations & Technology at TNS and as SVP & CTO at 1800FLOWERS.COM.

New CFO at Aruba

Aruba Networks announced the appointment of Michael Galvin, 45, as CFO of the company. Galvin has been promoted from his earlier role as interim Principal Financial Officer and interim Principal Accounting Officer. Before these interim posts, he was Aruba’s VP of Finance and Senior Director of Finance. Prior to joining Aruba, Galvin was CFO at StubHub, Corporate Controller & VP of Finance at BEA Systems, and VP of Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch. 

Canadian Wire & Cable Manufacturer Reinstates Veteran to Former Roles

John Norman, 50, has been reselected as VP, Corporate Controller, & CAO of Belden. Norman occupied these roles from 2005 until 2009 before becoming the VP of Finance for the Company's EMEA business segment. Prior to Belden, Norman served as VP and Corporate Controller at Graphic Packaging International, a paperboard packaging manufacturing company.

Gray G. Benoist, 58, who served at the Company's CAO during Norman's absence, will resume his previous duties as the company's SVP of Finance and CFO.

Business Continuity Products and Services Company Loses CEO

Innovative Software Technologies announced that CEO and Director Robert Rudman, 63, has resigned from the company. Rudman also held the titles of CFO, Secretary, & Principal Accounting Officer during his time with the company. Prior to Innovative Software, he served as CFO of Diatect International, Aegis Investment Management, Medical Makeover Corporation of America, and Petroleum Consolidators of America. 

Former IMB Exec Joins Mobile Enterprise Solution Provider

Extreme Networks announced that it has appointed communications industry veteran Gavin Cato as VP of Engineering. Previously, he held key leadership roles at IBM, Nortel Networks, and Tekelec.
