Our client is a very innovative company with significant price/performance benefits over competitors. The company currently sells to low power industrial vehicle makers such as golf cars, aerial work platforms, neighborhood electric vehicles.  Next-gen products include expansion to high power applications such as electric lift trucks, on-road electric vehicles, commercial/industrial BEV/PHEVs.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Sales executive will have responsibility for all of worldwide sales, including:

  • All OEM sales: to industrial vehicle manufacturers (low and high power)
  • All wholesale/distribution sales: this channel is not set up as of yet but will need to be with the new product lines

This is a fast growth company with a very innovative product line and a very well defined strategy and product roadmap.

Key Criteria

  • Sales Executive experience: experience managing a sales force with a well defined process and repeatable results.
  • Experience selling to industrial manufacturers.
  • Industry Experience: power electronics,  a very strong plus
  • Entrepreneurial Experience: experience scaling revenues quarter to quarter from $25m to $100m plus is a real plus.
  • Customer set: Experience in the automotive clean tech industry is a plus.
  • Experienced selling to automotive power industry is a plus.
  • Ability to relocate to Vancouver is a real plus; or within reasonable commuting distance.

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. She also has been a featured speaker on leadership at numerous conferences and at Columbia University's MBA program.

Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults, garage.ca, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
