Newly Created CMIO Position Filled at AT&T

AT&T announced the appointment of Dr. Geeta Nayyar as the company's first Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO). Prior to this appointment, she served as Principal Medical Officer at Vangent, a provider of information management and business process outsourcing services. Before Vangent, she was the Chief Medical Officer at Apco Worldwide, a public affairs and strategic communication firm. Nayyar holds memberships and committee appointments in several professional organizations, including the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the American College of Rheumatology, the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems, and the American Medical Association.

Global Communications Solutions Provider Selects Country Head

Orange Business Services has appointed Jorg Henseleit, 51, as MD of Switzerland. Most recently, Henseleit served as CEO for Getronics, a KPN subsidiary which provides information and communication technology solutions and services. He joined Getronics from Verizon, where he served as the Country Manager for Switzerland. Henseleit has also held senior roles at Unisys, PwC Consulting, and IBM.

Russian Mobile Phone Provider Recruits Chief of International Affairs

Robert Conway has joined VimpelCom’s senior management as the company’s new Chief of International Affairs. As a corporate officer and member of the management Board, Conway will help shape and drive the global strategic positioning of VimpelCom. Prior to this appointment, Conway served as a Director & CEO at GSMA, a mobile industry association.

Deputy CEO Promoted to CEO at Israeli Mobile Communications Company

Partner Communications, a leading Israeli mobile communications operator, announced that it appointed Haim Romano as the new CEO of the company. Romano was one of the founders of Partner and has previously served the company as VP of HR and Administration, VP of Customer Service, and as Deputy CEO. Between 2005 and 2009, he served as the President and the CEO of El Al Israel Airlines.

New CFO at NetApp

NetApp announced that Nicholas Noviello, 42, the current SVP of Finance & Global Controller, will succeed Steven Gomo, 59, as CFO at the beginning of 2012. Gomo joined NetApp in 2002 and is responsible for the company's finance, workplace resources, and investor relations functions. Noviello joined NetApp in 2008 as VP & Corporate Controller. Before NetApp, Noviello served as CFO at Honeywell International and held executive roles at PwC.

Storage Software Company Shuffles its Board

Caminosoft announced that Stuart Sieger, Alan Fein, and Joshua Gottlieb are joining its Board. The company also announced that Russell Cleveland and Stephen Crosson have resigned as Directors on the Board. Crossin, 51, currently serves as the company’s CEO & CFO. Prior to joining Caminosoft, Crosson held positions with Interscience Computer Corporation, First Interstate Bank of California, Jovanda International, and Laser Support & Engineering.

Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults, garage.ca, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
