Flexsteel Industries has appointed Lynn Davis, 63, as Chairman. Most recently, he served as the COO of August Technology, a leading supplier of inspection equipment to the semiconductor industry. Before joining August Technology, Davis was the COO of ADC Telecommunications, a manufacturer of hardware and software for broadband communication providers. He was also a Founding Partner of Tate Capital Partners, a private equity firm.
Travel Technology Expert on Entertainment Board
Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a regional amusement park operator, has appointed Tom Klein, 49, to its Board. Klein is the President of Sabre Holdings, one of the world's leading providers of technology to the travel industry. Before Sabre Holdings, he held various sales, marketing, and operations positions at American Airlines and Consolidated Freightways. In 2010, Klein was appointed to the Board of the Corporation for Travel Promotion by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke. He also serves on the executive committee of the World Travel and Tourism Council. In 2006 and 2007, Klein was recognized by Business Travel News as one of the industry's "25 Most Influential Executives.”
Former Apple Execs on Media & Merchandising Board
Michael Kramer, the COO of J. C. Penney, has been selected to join the Board of Directors at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Before joining J. C. Penney, Kramer was CEO of Kellwood Company, a premier fashion brand manufacturer. Prior to Kellwood Company, he served as CFO of Apple Retail and VP & CFO at Abercrombie & Fitch. Earlier in his career, Kramer held various leadership roles at The Limited, Pizza Hut, and Einstein/Noah Bagel.
The company has also named Daniel Walker to the company’s Board. He is currently the Chief Talent Officer for J. C. Penney. Before joining J.C. Penney, Walker was the Chief Talent Officer at Apple and led the Global Human Resources team during a period which saw the launch of the iPod, iTunes, Apple’s Applications Division, and the Apple retail stores. He has also served as the VP of HR at Gap and as Director of Human Resources for the Specialty Retail Group at General Mills.
Energy Company Elects New Director
Genie Energy has appointed Ira Greenstein, 48, to its Board. He currently serves as Counsel to the Chairman of IDT, a telecom and energy provider. In the past, Greenstein served as President and Director of IDT. Prior to IDT, he was a Partner at the law firm of Morrison & Foerster, where he served as the Chairman of the Business Department at its New York office. While at Morrison & Foerster, he also served as General Counsel and Secretary of Net2Phone. Early in his career, he was an Associate at the Law Firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Greenstein also serves on the boards of Document Security Systems, Ohr Pharmaceuticals, NanoVibronix, and Regal Bank of New Jersey.
