Verizon named Melanie Healey, 50, to its Board. Currently, Healey serves at Procter & Gamble as Group President of North America and Global Hyper, Super, Mass Channel. She also serves on the boards of P&G, Verizon, and Bacardi. Since joining P&G in 1990, she has held senior roles in the Feminine, Healthcare, and Adult Care divisions. U.S. Bancorp Adds to Board
U.S. Bancorp has appointed Doreen Woo Ho, 64, to its Board. Currently, Ho is Commissioner of the San Francisco Port Commission, the governing board responsible for the SF waterfront. She also serves as a board member for C100, the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, and the San Francisco Opera. Most recently, Ho was the President & CEO of United Commercial Bank. Before United Commercial Bank, she was President of the Consumer Credit Group at Wells Fargo. Ho also served for over 20 years at Citibank, most recently as the SVP of National Business Banking.
Eli Lilly Appoints Harvard Professor
Eli Lilly has elected Dr. Katherine Baicker, a Professor at the Harvard School of Public Health, to serve on its Board. She is also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and an elected member of the Institute of Medicine. Prior to her current position at Harvard, Baicker served as a Member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers from 2005 to 2007. Starbucks has appointed Clara Shih to serve on the company’s Board. She is the CEO of Hearsay Social, an enterprise social media software firm. Seagate Technology, a leading manufacturer of hard disks and storage solutions, has appointed Kristen Onken, 62, to its Board. Most recently, she served as CFO of Logitech International. DCT Industrial Trust has appointed Marilyn Alexander, 59, to its Board. She currently serves on the Board at Tutor Perini, a major U.S. construction company. Most recently, Alexander was SVP & CFO of The Disneyland Resort in California. She also served as VP of Destination Marketing & Brand Management and as VP of Finance at The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Before joining Disney, Alexander was VP of Financial Planning & Analysis at Marriott. Earlier in her career, she served on the boards of Equity Office Properties (EOP) and New Century Financial.
