Rackspace Hosting, a cloud computing and hosting provider, has promoted Lew Moorman, 41, to President. Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy Officer and President of the Cloud business. Prior to joining Rackspace in 2000, Moorman held several positions at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. He serves as a Commissioner on Tech America's Cloud2 Commission and as a Board Member of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute.
Clearinghouse and Directory Services Provider Loses SVP
Neustar announced that Douglas Arnold has resigned as SVP of Human Resources. Before joining Neustar, he was the VP of HR at World Kitchen, a kitchenware products maker, and U.S. Cellular, a cell phone service provider. Prior to U.S. Cellular, Arnold served as the VP of International HR at PepsiCo Pizza Hut and as the Director of Compensation & Benefits at PepsiCo Frito-Lay.
Application Delivery Network Provider Loses Board Member
Blue Coat Systems announced the resignation of Brian NeSmith, 48, as a Director at the company. In the past, he has also served as the company’s CEO and Chief Product Officer. Before joining Blue Coat, NeSmith was the President & CEO of Ipsilon Networks, a computer networking company.
Two New Presidents at Online Marketing Services Company
ReachLocal has promoted Nathan Hanks, the company’s Co-founder, Co-COO, and Chief Revenue Officer, to President. He will now focus on product platform and global distribution division. Before founding ReachLocal, he served as the VP of SAP Services at CDI.
Michael Kline, the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, Co-founder, and Co-COO, has also been named as a President. He will focus on local commerce. As part of this reorganization, the position of COO is being eliminated. Before founding the company, Kline was the VP of Product Development at WorldWinner and the Senior Manager of Media & Entertainment at Deloitte Consulting.

Dora Vell
Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.
Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years. Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.
Vell holds seven worldwide software patents. She has published several Business of Leadership reports on governance and leadership and has been quoted in numerous articles including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, Fortune, Agenda Week, MSNBC, Mass High Tech, the OPUS for the World Economic Forum, Boston Business Journal, The Globe & Mail, CIO Magazine, and IEEE. She also has been a featured speaker on leadership at numerous conferences and at Columbia University's MBA program.
Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults, garage.ca, and RBC Capital Partners.
She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
