CA Technologies announced that Rohit Kapoor, 46, CEO of ExlService Holdings Inc. has been elected to its Board of Directors. The Board expects to name Kapoor to the Board's Audit Committee. Kapoor's appointment brings the Board membership to 10, nine of whom are independent. In 2008, Kapoor was named president and CEO of ExlService Holdings, Inc., a provider of outsourcing and transformation services, and has served as a director since 2002. Kapoor previously served as ExlService Holdings' COO and CFO. He co-founded ExlService.com, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ExlService Holdings, in April 1999.
Red Hat announced that Sohaib Abbasi, chairman and CEO of Informatica Corporation will join its Board of Directors. Abbasi has served as the CEO and president of Informatica since July 2004 and as chairman of its board of directors since March 2005. Until 2003, Mr. Abbasi was SVP, Oracle Tools Division and Oracle Education at Oracle Corporation, which he joined in 1982. From 1994 to 2000, he was SVP, Oracle Tools Product Division.
NetApp announced that it appointed Richard P. (Rick) Wallace, president and CEO of KLA-Tencor Corporation, to the company's board of directors. Prior to his current role, Mr. Wallace served as president and COO from July 2005 through December 2005. He began at KLA Instruments in 1988 as an applications engineer and has held various general management positions throughout his 23 years with the company.
Akamai Technologies has appointed David Rich as VP, Asia Pacific to lead its rapidly expanding regional team covering Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. David Rich has over 30 years of experience in the high-tech and telecom sector, previously holding senior management roles at Verizon Business, Global One and Cable & Wireless, where he gained an in-depth knowledge of the business and regulatory landscape across Asia Pacific.
