Executive & Board Restructuring Continues at Yahoo!
Yahoo! has appointed John Hayes, 56, as a Director. Currently, Hayes serves as EVP & Chief Marketing Officer at American Express. Previously, he was the EVP of Global Advertising & Brand Management at American Express and the President of Lowe & Partners. Earlier in his career, Hayes was a director of the Association of National Advertisers and Wyndham Vacation Resorts.

American Express Appoints SVP of Technology
American Express announced that Neal Sample has joined the company as SVP of Technology. In this position, he will be responsible for Serve, the company’s digital commerce platform. Most recently, Sample served as the CTO of X.commerce, eBay's open development and commerce platform. Before joining X.commerce, he was the VP of Architecture & Platform Products at eBay. Prior to eBay, Sample served as the VP of Social, Open & Participation Platforms at Yahoo! While at Yahoo!, he also held the title of Chief Architect. Earlier in his career, he was the Chief Scientist at RightOrder and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship with the CIA’s Office of R&D.

JP Morgan Exec on Philip Morris Board
Philip Morris International named Kalpana Morparia, 58, to its Board of Directors. Currently, Morparia serves as JP Morgan’s India CEO. She also sits on the board of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, an integrated global pharma company, and CMC, a leading Indian systems engineering and integration company. Before joining JP Morgan, Morparia was MD of ICICI Bank, India’s second largest bank. She also served as Vice Chair of ICICI’s Insurance and Asset Management Business. She was named one of "The 50 Most Powerful Women in International Business" by Fortune Magazine in 2008.

Big Tech Changes at HP
HP announced that Shane Robison, 56, is retiring as EVP and Chief Strategy & Technology Officer. Robison was also responsible for the company’s strategy and corporate development efforts, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, intellectual property licensing, and partnerships. Robison came to HP from Compaq, where he served as the SVP of Technology and CTO. Prior to joining Compaq, he served as the President of Internet Technology and Development at AT&T Labs. He has also held senior positions at Cadence Design Systems and Apple Computer.
