Communications Infrastructure Company Loses Board Member

Crown Castle International announced the resignation of David Abrams, 49, from the company’s Board of Directors. Currently, he serves as the President of Abrams Capital and is a Member of the Board at CC Media Holdings. Earlier in his career, he was a board member at USA Mobility and Global Signal.

Executive Shuffle at AT&T

AT&T has appointed Marissa Shorenstein as President of AT&T NY. Prior to this appointment, Shorenstein served as President & CEO of Marissa Shorenstein LLC. Before starting her own company, Shorenstein served as the Director of Communications for Andrew Cuomo's campaign for Governor of NY in 2010 and as Press Secretary & Deputy Director of Communications for the State of NY under Governor David Paterson. Earlier in her career, she held PR roles under Vice President Al Gore, General Wesley Clark, and New York State Comptroller Carl McCall. Shorenstein serves on the Advisory Board of the Joan Shorenstein Center at the Harvard Kennedy School, the Board of Directors of the Phoenix House, and the Board of Directors of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum.

CEO Assumes Chairman Role at Verizon; New Board Member Elected


Verizon has confirmed that CEO Lowell McAdam, 56, has replaced Ivan Seidenberg, 65, as Chairman of the Board. Before becoming CEO, McAdam held the titles of COO of Verizon and EVP, COO, and CEO of Verizon Wireless. Prior to joining Verizon, he was the CEO of Primeco, a wireless joint venture between AirTouch and Bell Atlantic.

New Regional President at Verizon Wireless


Verizon Wireless announced that Jonathan LeCompte has been named President of the Georgia/Alabama Region. He most recently served as the Director of Retail Sales for the company's Northern California/Nevada/Hawaii Region. LeCompte has been with Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies for nearly 20 years and has served in various sales leadership positions. He is a three-time Verizon Wireless President's Cabinet award honoree.

Big Tech Changes at HP

HP announced that Shane Robison, 56, is retiring as EVP and Chief Strategy & Technology Officer. Robison was also responsible for the company’s strategy and corporate development efforts, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, intellectual property licensing, and partnerships. Robison came to HP from Compaq, where he served as the SVP of Technology and CTO. Prior to joining Compaq, he served as the President of Internet Technology and Development at AT&T Labs. He has also held senior positions at Cadence Design Systems and Apple Computer.

Two Regional Presidents Retire from Verizon

Verizon announced that William Roberts has retired after nearly 30 years with the company. Most recently, Roberts served as the Regional President for Maryland and Washington D.C. Prior to joining Verizon, he held management positions at C&P Telephone Company. Currently, Roberts is a board member of the Federal City Council, Greater Washington Board of Trade, Greater Baltimore Committee, Kennedy-Krieger Institute, and National Aquarium.
