Former PlayStation Exec Takes Over Microsoft Studios Europe
Microsoft announced that Phil Harrison has been named VP of the Interactive Entertainment Business. Most recently, Harrison was a General Partner at London Venture Partners. He continues to serve as a Special Advisor to the company. Before joining London Venture Partners, Harrison served as President of Atari and was a member of the company’s Board. He joined Sony in 1992 and has held various titles at the company, including President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, EVP of Development at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and VP of 3rd Party & R&D at Sony Computer Entertainment America.

Former Federal CIO Joins Salesforce.com
Salesforce.com has hired former U.S. Federal CIO Vivek Kundra, 37, as its EVP of Emerging Markets. Kundra was the first CIO of the United States and was hired by the Obama administration in March 2009. He left this job in August 2011 to become a Joint Fellow at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and the Berkman Center for Internet and Society. Before serving as the Federal CIO, Kundra was the CTO for the District of Columbia and the Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Technology for the State of Virginia.
