Google Loses Head of Consumer Payments
Vikas Gupta has announced his resignation as Head of Consumer Payments. While at Google, he was one of the leaders on the payments team overseeing Google Wallet. Gupta joined Google after it acquired Jambool, an eCommerce company which he co-founded and led. Prior to founding Jambool, Gupta served as a Senior Manager at Amazon.

CIO Appointed at Intel
Kim Stevenson, the GM & VP of IT Operations and Services, has been named as the company’s new CIO. Prior to joining Intel, Stevenson served at EDS as the VP of the Worldwide Communications, Media, and Entertainment Industry Practice. While at EDS, she also served as the VP of Enterprise Service Management and as the VP of the Infrastructure Portfolio. Earlier in her career, Stevenson was a VP at IBM.

Yahoo Head Joins Apple
Scott Noteboom, the former VP of Data Center Engineering & Operations at Yahoo, has joined Apple. While his title at the company is unannounced, he will likely focus on helping expand Apple’s cloud computing efforts. During his time at Yahoo, Noteboom also served as the Chief Design Architect. Earlier in his career, he was the Senior Director of Operations at Abovenet, a provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions. He has also served as the VP of Engineering at INVODA, an internet and voice provider which he founded.

HP Fires CEO/Board Member
HP announced that Leo Apotheker, 58, has been relieved of his duties as President, CEO & Director. Before joining HP, he was the CEO of SAP AG. Meg Whitman, 55, has been named as Apotheker’s replacement. Prior to joining HP, Whitman served as President & CEO of eBay from 1998 to 2008. She has also held senior positions at Hasbro, Stride Rite, and FTD.

Former CEO of Thomson Reuters Markets Joins eBay
eBay announced that Devin Wenig, 44, has joined the company as President of its Global eBay Marketplaces Business Unit. In this position, his responsibilities will include overseeing eBay, eBay classifieds, and StubHub. Wenig was most recently the CEO of Thomson Reuters Markets, where he led the company's global financial services and media businesses. Wenig also led the integration of Reuters and Thomson following the merger of the two companies. In the past, he has held other executive positions with Reuters and practiced law at the New York firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

Internet Leadership Changes - March/April 2011
InfoSpace announced that it has appointed Steve Hooper to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Hooper is a founding partner of Ignition Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in communications, internet, software, and technology services. Prior to founding Ignition, Mr. Hooper was the Chairman and CEO at Nextlink Communications (now XO Communications). Prior to this, he served as the Co-CEO at Teledesic.
Pitney Bowes announced the appointment of Chuck Cordray to the new position of president of the Volly secure digital delivery service. Cordray joins Pitney Bowes from Hearst Corporation, where he served as SVP and GM of Hearst Magazines Digital Media. Cordray previously held executive leadership roles for several large consumer brands, including TV Guide Publishing Group, Primedia, and Meredith Corporation.
