Adobe Systems announced that Bridget Perry has been appointed as VP of Americas Marketing. Perry joins Adobe from Microsoft, where she served as Senior Director of U.S. Enterprise Marketing. Prior to Microsoft, Perry was a strategy consultant at E&Y, consulting with a wide variety of companies in the media and entertainment, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
The company also announced that Garrett Ilg has been named VP of Americas Field Operations. Ilg, the former President of Adobe Systems Japan, returns to the company after serving as President and Representative Director of SAP Japan. While at SAP, he drove consistent revenue growth for the company's third largest geographical region, maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and expanding the partner ecosystem.

CA Technologies announced that Jens Alder, 54, has been elected to its Board of Directors. Alder currently serves as the Chairman of Sanitas Krankenversicherung, one of Switzerland's largest health insurers, and RTX Telecom, a telecommunications component and handset producer based in Denmark. He also serves as Chairman of Industrielle Werke Basel, an industrial utility company based in Switzerland. Additionally, Alder is the Lead Advisor for IT Governance to the Swiss Minister of Defence and to the Swiss Chief of the Armed Forces. Earlier in his career, Alder served as CEO of TDC, Swisscom, and Alcatel Switzerland.
Venture Capitalist on Board of EA
Electronic Arts announced that Jay Hoag, 52, has been appointed to the company's Board of Directors. He has also been appointed to EA's Executive Compensation and Leadership Committee. Hoag is a founding General Partner at Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), a leading provider of growth capital to technology companies. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for eHarmony, TechTarget, Zillow, and Netflix. Prior to founding TCV, Hoag was MD at Chancellor Capital Management.
Qlik Technologies Promotes SVP to CTO
Qlik Technologies, a business intelligence software provider, announced that Anthony Deighton, 37, has assumed the title of CTO. In addition to his new responsibilities, he will continue to serve as SVP of Products at Qlik. Prior to joining the company, Deighton served as the GM of Siebel Systems' Employee Relationship Management (ERM) business unit. Before joining Siebel, he worked as a Business Analyst at A.T. Kearney. Jonas Nachmanson, 47, the company’s former CTO, will assume the title of Chief Product Strategy Officer and will serve as a key advisor to Deighton.
Former EMC Exec on Progress Board
Progress Software announced the appointment of John Egan, 53, to the company's Board of Directors. Egan is a Managing Partner of Egan-Managed Capital, a Boston-based venture capital fund he founded in 1998 that specializes in technology and early stage investments. Before starting Egan-Managed Capital, he served in a number of executive positions at EMC, including EVP of Products and Offerings, EVP of Sales and Marketing, EVP of Operations, and EVP of International Sales. Egan also serves on the board of directors at EMC, VMWare, NetScout Systems, HighRoads, Platform Computing, and Healthrageous.

Advent Software announced the appointment of Asiff Hirji, 45, to its Board of Directors. In the past, Hirji has served as a Partner at TPG Capital, a global private investment firm. Prior to TPG Capital, he was President of TD Ameritrade Holding Company, COO of TD Ameritrade, and Chief Information Officer of Ameritrade. Hirji also served as VP & Partner at Bain & Company and as President of Meralix. Hirji currently serves on Citrix Systems’ Board of Directors.
Interim CFO Selected at Security Software Company
Websense announced the appointment of Michael Newman, 41, as Interim CFO. Newman has been a member of the executive committee since 2002 and currently serves as the company's CAO, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. The company has initiated a search for a full-time CFO. He succeeds Arthur Locke III, 47, who resigned from the company in order to return to his family in Virginia.
