We are seeking a CEO to drive growth for an Enterprise Software company in Pittsburg. The company sells enterprise solutions to hospitals. The CEO will be charged to grow the business organically (and maybe by acquisition) and is responsible for developing and implementing additional, long-range growth strategies focused on leveraging the company’s technology and financial assets into higher value added product lines.

The company is profitable and has a recurring revenue model. The owner has a variety of investments and is looking for a long-term partner as CEO. There are no immediate plans for an exit, but the compensation structure is adjusted for that.

Key experience attributes will be:
  • Prior CEO Experience growing a company from $50-$100m to more
  • Experience selling Software solutions that are hospital-wide
  • Strategic & Operational Fluency
  • Customer Segments: Experience serving hospitals is key
  • Location: Pittsburgh area. Candidate must be living there or be willing to relocate.

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults, garage.ca, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.

    Forgive my being a pedant, but it's "Pittsburgh," not "Pittsburg." The latter is a small town in California and the alternate name by which a Civil War battle in Tennessee (Pittsburg Landing or Shiloh) is known.

    Since this is a CEO search, I'm sure your client would appreciate a correction.
