CyberLink Steals Go to Market Execs from Nero

The digital home and video software solutions provider announced the appointment of Richard Carriere as SVP, Global Marketing. Prior to this, Carriere served as SVP, Worldwide Marketing at Nero AG and President of its Americas division, and as General Manager at Corel. Previously Carriere served as a consultant at McKinsey's Technology and Telecommunications practices.

Hyder Rabbani is the new SVP and General Manager of CyberLink US in charge of the Americas. Before joining CyberLink, Hyder was SVP, Worldwide OEM Sales & Business Development at Nero. Hyder also served in Executive, Senior management and sales leadership positions at Brickfish, DivX, Archos, Musicmatch, Intel, Novell and Ashton-Tate.

PTC Selects New EVP

PTC named Robert Ranaldi as EVP of Worldwide Sales & Distribution. Ranaldi joined PTC in 1998 and last served as divisional vice president for PTC's North American Commercial Business. Ranaldi has also served as a sales manager in Europe and as a VP for SMB. Prior to joining PTC, he was in sales management at Boston Scientific Corporation. Ranaldi replaces former EVP Paul Cunningham, 48, who is staying on as an exec advisor as of November 2011.

SCM Software Heavyweight JDA Name New Senior Leadership

JDA Software promoted Tom Dziersk, 47, to EVP of Sales & Marketing. Dziersk joined JDA in 2006 as SVP of the Americas after working for 20 years in the retail and supply chain enterprise software market. Prior to joining JDA, Dziersk spent five years as CEO of ClearOrbit, successfully re-branding and re-positioning the company. He has also held senior management positions, as well as sales and marketing positions, at several emerging technology companies including Essentus International and JBA International. Dziersk replaces Jason Zintak, who has resigned from the company in spite of declaring a 27% first quarter sales increase.

IntraLinks Chooses New Board Member and Managing Director

IntraLinks Holdings announced that Chris Scalet, 52, has been named as a member of its board of directors. Scalet is currently EVP of Global Services and CIO at Merck. Scalet has served as CIO since joining Merck in March 2003 and as EVP, Global Services since January 2008. Prior to joining Merck, Scalet was SVP, IT, and CIO at International Paper from 1998 to 2003 and VP, IT, and CIO at MAPCO from 1993 to 1997.

IntraLinks announced the appointment of Derek Flynn as Managing Director and SVP EMEA. Flynn brings over 20 years of experience in the software industry, both in general management and sales leadership roles. Prior to IntraLinks, Flynn was the UK Sales Director at SAS Institute, responsible for the sales, operations, and alliance functions. Before joining SAS, Flynn held senior positions at a number of leading information technology organizations including SAP, Siebel and Oracle.

Nuance Appoints Former Sungard, Nortel, and EMC Exec as Head of WW Sales

Nuance announced that it has selected Bill Nelson as EVP of Worldwide Sales. Nelson joins Nuance from Sungard Availability Services where he was the EVP of North American Sales. Prior to Sungard, he was EVP of Global Sales at Nortel Networks, SVP at EMC, president of Lucent's Service Provider Networks, and president of Softswitch’s business units. Nelson has also held a number of executive positions in sales, marketing, and business development at AT&T. Meanwhile, Nuance veteran marketer extraordinaire, Steve Chambers, 47, will continue on with Nuance in his new role as CMO.

Constant Contact Creates New Position

Constant Contact has named Rick Jensen to the newly created position of SVP, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. He joins Constant Contact from Intuit where he was VP & GM for their Small Business Group, where he oversaw and managed the acquisition of Homestead. Jensen also served as VP of product management and Director of Marketing for the Consumer Tax Group. Prior to Intuit, he was VP of Marketing and e-business for vendor marketing services at GE Capital and VP of Marketing at U.S. Bancorp.

Kofax and PROS Appoint New Regional SVPs: Asia Pac & EMEA

Document capture software co. Kofax announced that it has hired Owen Taraniuk for the role of SVP of Software & Solutions Sales for the Asia Pacific region. He comes to Kofax from OpenText, a provider of enterprise content management software and solutions, where he was most recently SVP of Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior to OpenText, Mr. Taraniuk was a founder and COO of Groupe Inova, an IT infrastructure company. Before that, he was a CEO at ABS Group.

B2B price software company PROS announced the appointment of Steven Elsham as Regional Sales VP for Europe. Elsham joins PROS from the SAS Institute where he was a sales leader, responsible for more than 1,000 national accounts. Prior to SAS, he headed the CRM, a strategic sourcing and price management business for SAP in the U.K. and Ireland. At SAP, he was promoted to lead the local government and health cross-functional verticals. He also served for 13 years at Oracle software and hardware systems company.

THQ Secures Replacement for Departing VP

Video game developer THQ announced the appointment of veteran PR executive Angela Emery to VP of Corporate Communication She will be reporting to President & CEO Brian Farrell. She has more than 20 years of public relations experience, including 15 in the interactive entertainment industry. Emery comes to THQ after eight years as VP of Disney Interactive Studios where she led global communications for the interactive entertainment division of The Walt Disney Company. Emery's career includes successful executive roles at major game publishers, including Fox Interactive and Sega of America. She also managed public relations strategies for Microsoft Game Studios while at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide.

THQ announced that Julie MacMedan, VP IR and Comm. left the company to serve as VP, IR of vertical web provider, Demand Media.
