Microsoft announced that Robert Wahbe, the Corporate VP of the Server & Tools Marketing Group, has resigned from the company. Wahbe has been with the Server and Tools Group during his entire tenure at Microsoft. He joined Microsoft in 1996 after Microsoft acquired Colusa Software, a startup which he founded. Takeshi Numoto, the former Corporate VP of the Microsoft Office Product Management Group, has assumed Wahbe’s former title. Numoto joined Microsoft in 1997 as a Business Development Manager on the Windows NT Program Management Team.
Microsoft Adds to Windows Phone Team
Microsoft has promoted Andrew Lees to President of Windows Phone and Windows 8. In the past, he has served as Corporate VP of the Microsoft Server & Tools Marketing and Solutions Group. Prior to joining the Server & Tools Group, Lees held a variety of different roles within the Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Services Group. He joined Microsoft in 1990 and spent 10 years at Microsoft U.K.

Microsoft announced that Yusuf Mehdi has been appointed as the Head of Marketing for the Interactive Entertainment Division. In this role, he will be responsible for Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE, and Kinect. Most recently, Mehdi served as the Chief Audience Officer for the company’s Online Services Division. Mehdi has spent more than a decade at Microsoft Online Services and has fostered strategic partnerships with Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, and Nokia. Before joining Microsoft, Mehdi was a Product Manager at Reuters Group.
Apple Promotes Levinson; Adds Disney’s Iger to Board
Written by Dora VellApple named Arthur D. Levinson, Ph. D. as its non-executive chairman of the board. Apple also announced that Robert Iger, President and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, will join the board and serve on the audit committee.
Former Microsoft VP Joins EA as CTO
Electronic Arts announced Rajat Taneja has been appointed as Global CTO. Taneja joins EA from Microsoft, where he most recently served as Corporate VP of the Commerce Division. Before his time as Corporate VP, he was responsible for leading Microsoft's online digital advertising platforms. Prior to Microsoft, Taneja served as the Open Systems Manager at Digital Equipment and held senior roles at Wipro Information Technology.
