McKesson's President of Specialty Health Resigns from Other Role as EVP, Corp Strategy & BD Resigns

Marc E. Owen, 51, resigned as EVP, Corporate Strategy & BD of McKesson. He will continue to serve as President of McKesson Specialty Health. Prior to McKesson, he was a Senior Partner at McKinsey and CEO at MindCrossing, a knowledge commerce company.

JP Morgan Exec on Philip Morris Board

Philip Morris International named Kalpana Morparia, 58, to its Board of Directors. Currently, Morparia serves as JP Morgan’s India CEO. She also sits on the board of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, an integrated global pharma company, and CMC, a leading Indian systems engineering and integration company. Before joining JP Morgan, Morparia was MD of ICICI Bank, India’s second largest bank. She also served as Vice Chair of ICICI’s Insurance and Asset Management Business. She was named one of "The 50 Most Powerful Women in International Business" by Fortune Magazine in 2008.

Allscripts Recruits Former Kodak Exec to its Board

Allscripts, a healthcare management software provider, announced that Catherine Burzik, 59, has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Currently, she is the President & CEO of Kinetic Concepts, a leading medical technology company. Before joining Kinetic Concepts, she served as President of Applied Biosystems Group and as SVP of Applera. Burzik has also worked at Kodak, where she held various operations and marketing positions during her 20 year tenure. She currently serves as a board member at KCI, the San Antonio branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and AdvaMed.

Microsoft Promotes Veteran to Head of Interactive Entertainment Division

Microsoft announced that Yusuf Mehdi has been appointed as the Head of Marketing for the Interactive Entertainment Division. In this role, he will be responsible for Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE, and Kinect. Most recently, Mehdi served as the Chief Audience Officer for the company’s Online Services Division. Mehdi has spent more than a decade at Microsoft Online Services and has fostered strategic partnerships with Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, and Nokia. Before joining Microsoft, Mehdi was a Product Manager at Reuters Group.

Canada’s Largest Communication Services Company Gets New Board Member

The Board of Directors of Bell Canada Enterprise announced the appointment of The Honourable Jim Prentice, P.C., Q.C., 55, as a Director of BCE & Bell Canada. Prentice currently serves as Senior EVP and Vice Chairman of CIBC. First elected to the House of Commons for Calgary Centre-North in 2004, Prentice served in a variety of Cabinet posts including Minister of Industry and Chair of the Operations Committee. As Minister of the Environment, he was Canada's principal intermediary with the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Regional CEO Selected at Management Consulting and Technology Services Company

Accenture has named Jorge Benitez, 51, as MD of North America and CEO of the United States. For the past five years, Benitez has served as COO of Accenture's Products Operating Group. Qualcomm Expands Exec’s Role to Include CTO Responsibilities

Qualcomm, a wireless communication components company, announced the appointment of Matt Grob as EVP and CTO. In addition to his new responsibilities, Grob will continue to lead Qualcomm's Corporate R&D division and provide oversight to Qualcomm’s Corporate Engineering Services. Grob joined Qualcomm in 1991 as an engineer.
